Saturday 13 December 2008, DUBAI (UAE): A phenomenal season finale saw Abdullah Al-Sulaiti and Matteo Nicolini in Qatar 95 win the Dubai Duty Free Grand Prix, Powered by Twin Sterling V8's with Vortech V-24 superchargers. It is the first win for the Sterling-Vortech V-24 supercharger combination in class one competition.

Sterling Performance built the Vortech supercharged V8's (This class is currently dominated by Lamborghini V12's) in the 2007 season, yielding some promising results in the Negotiator. Qualifying towards the top of the field however lack consistency to bring home a checker flag. Sterling with the assistance of R-Tech performance made some adjustments to the Vortech V-24 supercharger drive system to improve reliability for the 2008 season. Sterling was also chosen to supply the Vortech supercharged V8's to the Qatar 95 team in addition to the Negotiator Team for the 2008 season. The engines netted great reliability all year long capped off by top qualifying positions and finally a checkered flag.
